Well it finally happened, they got me. I woke up this morning to a couple different messages telling me that my identity had been discovered and leaked to the public by one Nancy H. (aka Nancy Hornburg, the infamously ousted ex guitarist of War on Women, aka instagram user @nancpantz, aka tiktok user @shrimpeez) on tiktok after threatening to do so over the last day or so on instagram. Nancy, and her cohort, take issue with my coverage of the sexual misconduct accusations surrounding the band Anti-Flag and their lead singer Justin Geever. In particular an inability to find any history of licensure which appears to indicate that the central figure Kristina Sarhadi lied about being a social worker and therapist while soliciting clients under credentials she never had and raising funds for a charity that does not exist off the publicity from these allegations. They also take umbrage with me compiling the allegations and evidence for those allegations that were contained within a Rolling Stone exposé about Geever. Like all stunning and brave truth tellers, they have responded to my reporting with cold, hard, well cited facts proving that Sarhadi IS actually a licensed therapist and social worker qualified to provide the care she solicits, the Punk Rock Therapist IS an accredited charity, and provided extensive, conclusive evidence of Geever’s wrongdoings that was not present in Rolling Stone’s reporting.
I’m kidding of course, Sheriff Pantz opted to attempt to expose my identity and employer in an effort to get me fired. Below is her tik tok exposing me. It is long, but specifically for long time Blocked and Reported podcast listeners, I think you will find it very entertaining.
Here is the true identity of Jack Torrance per Nancy:
This is, of course, not me.
That didn’t stop Judge Pantz from broadcasting this man’s picture, name, and workplace to her nearly 4k followers on tik tok while calling to get him fired for something he didn’t do, all while insulting him and accusing him of having identity disorders. This person is Jack Neilson Despain Zhou, also known as Trace Woodgrains, a law student, investigative journalist and former producer of the podcast Blocked and Reported. Jack has a very public persona now, choosing to reveal his identity this past spring as he left Blocked and Reported and start reporting under his own name and focus on law school. I’m going to refer to Jack Despain Zhou as “Trace” throughout this to avoid confusion with people thinking I’ve started talking in the third person.
Trace is a fantastic investigative journalist who broke the FAA DEI Hiring Scandal story into the mainstream as well as provided excellent work on Blocked and Reported over the past couple years. It would be flattering that someone would legitimately confuse our work because they thought they were similar, but unfortunately it appears superficial as I don’t think Nancy can read. Trace has been writing under a pseudonym since 2019 and has been incredibly (and rightfully) successful in doing it, amassing a significant following. It appears that Nancy believes that Trace started an entirely new blog and persona (Jack Torrance), starting from zero after years of building up a following, under a new pseudonym that contains the same first name as his actual legal name (this is of course the first rule of opsec), all while writing on his own, producing an incredibly successful podcast, and attending law school. Among Officer Pantz’s complaints about Trace’s work is that it has “lots of citations” which tracks based on the quality of the reporting she lionizes as well as her own investigatory faculties. It looks like Nancy has since deleted the tiktok accusing Trace of being me, possibly because she realized that inciting people to email a bunch of constitutional lawyers a false allegation may not work out well for her. Though in fairly typical fashion from those who demand accountability from everyone else, I have not seen an apology or retraction.
Edit: 7/1/2024: My initial reporting that Nancy had put the video up on TikTok and then deleted it was incorrect. It appears that she simply made the videos in the tiktok editing software and then uploaded them to her instagram stories (@nancpantz). I’m blocked and it’s a private account, so I’ve only had access to what has been sent to me, but she seems to be doubling down that I am still actually trace. Here is a more recent video of hers.
How Nancy came to believe I’m Trace I’m not entirely sure as there is no public connection between us, and I’ve never interacted with this Nancy person until yesterday. Privately, I did briefly go back and forth with both Katie Herzog from Blocked and Reported as well as Trace via email back when he still worked there about the possibility of covering The Punk Rock Therapist story on an episode. However the story never made it onto the pod and Trace and I only corresponded briefly before the conversation fell off. Maybe Trace had to go, maybe they passed on it, all I know is that we didn’t move forward, which I’m fine with. That’s the only connection that exists outside of the fact that I do post some of my stories to the Blocked and Reported related community forums and that I myself am a fan and subscriber of the podcast, along with thousands of others. Really the only way I think she could even make that connection would be if Trace at any point contacted Sarhadi over the past couple months about the story and Sarhadi then fed his name to Nancy.
A great way to show you’re not acting like an unhinged tattletale is to constantly interrupt everything you’re doing with “technically this isn’t doxing, I’m allowed to do this” before blasting the picture and information of the wrong fucking guy across the internet. Contrary to Shrimpeez belief, I don’t need a law degree to notice and point out that Sarhadi claimed to be a mental health professional despite never having a license or that there’s no record of her charity with any regulatory agency anymore than I need a law degree to point out that a car parked in the handicapped spot doesn’t have the placard. Nancy constantly points out that all of the false information that she’s sharing about Trace is publicly posted and how therefore that’s fine, while simultaneously coming after me for my reporting. Please allow me to point out that everything I’ve reported on; from Sarhadi’s total lack of any of the credentials she claims, to the evidence provided in the Rolling Stone Story, is also public information, it’s just public information they don’t like people looking at. Among the other offenses she thinks should make me eligible to be fired is “making fun of the entire punk scene”, and that I have “so many critiques” for women.
While we’re on the subject of exposing me, my pen name is Jack Torrance, literally the main character from Stephen King’s The Shining. When one of you psychos does finally figure out who I am, at least have the creativity to edit my ugly mug over the “Here’s Johnny” scene. I know you’re all HR hall monitors who hate art nearly as much as you hate critical thought, but it’s sitting right there for you.
These pieces are about punishment and justification. My contention through all of this has never been that Geever is innocent, or that this group of people are lying about their allegations against him (outside of Sarhadi, who is lying about her credentials). You won’t find any such claims in any of my work. It’s always been that this situation, as well as the larger metoo movement is animated by blind belief, vigilantism and a disdain for due process and basic civil rights that wantonly accuses and punishes while being very sloppy with facts and discernment. They care very little about proving guilt or innocence, focusing on inflicting the most damage from initial accusation and use interpersonal terrorism and threats to keep any dissenters in line.
Thanks for proving my entire point you stupid asshole.

You and Trace should team up and sue the pants off her.
Sorry. I love your work. I have loved this podcast for helping me see I am not an insane monster who hates everyone but a moderate individual who appreciates things like due process. I hope you know how much you have helped people like me despite the Machivallean moves of people like this. It's a scary time that reminds me of Farenheit 451... time to tell on your neighbors.
Keep up the good work. You have my gratitude and support.
